In Ohio, Clinton and Trump Supporters Find Common Ground on Issue 64

For Immediate Release —

As impossible as it may seem, Clinton and Trump supporters in hotly contested Ohio have found common ground as both sides rally to vote against Issue 64.

A majority vote against Issue 64 will reject the sale of 108 million dollars worth of community owned Lakewood Hospital assets to the Cleveland Clinic for a mere 9.6 million dollars. The issue is up for a vote in the City of Lakewood, just 10 minutes west of downtown Cleveland.

The sale of the hospital was engineered by city officials who had fallen under the sway of special interest groups that included Cleveland Clinic surrogates.

Amid accusations of bid rigging, an illegal non-compete clause and numerous other acts of malfeasance, the unintended consequence of the deal has been an alliance between the most unlikely of allies.

The Save Lakewood Hospital Committee that has led the effort to cancel this lopsided agreement meets regularly, and includes Democrats and Republicans alike. In addition to the ballot issue, a $400 million dollar lawsuit is working its way through court.
